Pool Leak Detection

A Pool Leak Detection will find leaks in the shell of the pool, in spillways or in the plumbing and light conduits running to the pool.

A Pool Leak can cause structural damage, including the pool and homes foundation, cracks, equipment damage, retaining wall failure, excessive chemical consumption and high water bills. If you are not sure if your pool leaks, perform a bucket test.

If your pool is losing more than 1/4" of water a day, you may have a pool leak.

Bucket Test

Our technicians will plug and pressure test all plumbing lines to find underground plumbing leaks. If a leak is found, we will pin-point it using acoustic leak detection equipment for accurate location of the broken plumbing.

Dye Testing

Our technician will also perform a full dye test of the pool structure, checking for cracks or voids in the plaster; as well as performing a comprehensive analysis of the pool equipment pad. The process takes on average 3 hours.

Scuba Diving

Our technicians will use scuba gear that fits the weather for visual inspection of the pool shell year round. Our staff are certified divers just for this purpose.

A full checkup of the equipment pad area is essential to a good leak detection, backwash valves and other attachments can allow for large leaks.
